Rules Regulating Mandatory Continuing Education for Psychologists

SUBCHAPTER b: PROFESSIONS AND OCCUPATIONS PART 1400 CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST LICENSING ACT SECTION 1400.85 CONTINUING EDUCATION

Beginning with the September 30, 2014 renewal and every renewal therafter, in order to renew a license, a licensee shall be required to complete 24 hours of continuing education. At least 3 of the 24 hours must include content related to the ethical practice of Clinical Psychology.

Six Continuing Education Credits

Since 1994, The Trust has partnered with state psychological associations and other groups of practicing psychologists to offer continuing education workshops. The goal of these workshops has been to increase the risk management skills and strategies employed by professional psychologists in their practices in order to protect them from adverse disciplinary actions which can be extremely stressful and have a substantial impact on a career.
